In this week’s very sunny vlog from Head Gardener, Craig Cameron, we share a visit to the Ravine and Sundial Gardens each with their own distinct key plants. The Ravine is wonderful at this time of year and continues to flourish throughout the summer.
In this week’s video Craig talks vegetables; spending time in the Walled Garden to admire the produce we are growing outside and in the Greenhouses. Craig also steps out of the Walled Garden and into the lush woodland garden of Sir Fraser’s Wood where we see many Himalayan woodland plants growing quite happily under the canopy of an old spruce plantation.
Head Gamekeeper, Kenny Horne, takes us around the estate looking in more detail at the design of the woodlands and the importance of carefully managing the make-up of woods for the benefit of game birds and wildlife.
Kenny also takes us down to Teasses Loch to see some great fishing and the wildlife that benefit from the small fresh water Loch in the centre of the Estate.

Another video from our Head Gardener, Craig Cameron, who focusses on the long borders in the Walled Garden in this Vlog.
The Long Borders were completely renovated in Autumn 2018 and are looking great as they go into their second summer season.
This week Head Gardener, Craig Cameron, takes a look at the different Irises we have growing around the garden. These are wonderful early-summer bearded irises which flower for a short period but which are extremely attractive and magnificently coloured.
